Nothing. Our service is free to you. We receive a commission from the retailer you choose, which is how the business is funded. If you are switching from an existing plan, check with your current provider about any exit fees that may apply.
It depends on the address and how early you lodge. Same-day and next-day electricity connections are possible in many areas on business days, but they have submission cut-off times. Natural gas generally takes longer than electricity, so book it in as early as you can.
Usually not. In most cases nobody needs to be on site for the power to be turned on, though you may need to make sure the main switch on the switchboard is off. The retailer will confirm what is needed once your application is lodged.
No. We compare plans from the retailers we work with, and we do not cover every provider or every plan available in your area. You are always free to compare independently as well.
Retailers require identity details to process a connection application. We only pass on what is needed to arrange the services you have asked for, and we do not sell your information.
The process is the same. Renters connect utilities in their own name just like owner-occupiers. The landlord or agent is only involved if new infrastructure has to be installed at the property.
